Inter-faith network

The aim of this network is to coordinate efforts and create better connections between the different faith groups. Currently the network consists of Agincourt Church of God, Malvern Emmanuel United Church, Malvern Methodist Church, Malvern Presbyterian Church, Muslim Welfare Centre, The Church of the Nativity. The network is supporting local initiatives and exploring ways to connect members from their congregations to the larger network of service agencies.

Local Immigration Partnership

Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) are the mechanism through which CIC supports the development of local partnerships and community-based planning around the needs of newcomers.

The TEQ LIP seeks to involve diverse stakeholders in the partnership development process including service provider organizations, levels of government, school boards, professional associations, ethno-cultural organizations, faith-based organizations, the social services sectors as well as the community at large.

Malvern Family Resource Centre

Malvern Family Resource Centre is a multi-service social service agency providing a variety of programs and services to residents in the Scarborough North and Scarborough Rouge Park ridings.

On-Track Career & Employment Services

On-Track Career & Employment Services is funded by Employment Ontario and is equipped to help job seekers find and sustain employment. Through our employment and training network, we will help you build your career. We are your one-stop source for information about jobs, job search skills, training, education, and other services.

Anyone can access the services at our Centre, be it with assistance from our highly qualified Employment Consultants or on your own. We provide services to individuals who are employed, under-employed or looking for a career change and/or direction.

TAIBU Community Health Centre (CHC)

TAIBU Community Health Centre (CHC) is a multidisciplinary, non-for-profit, community led organization established in the Malvern neighborhood of Scarborough, Ontario.TAIBU Community Health Centre provides comprehensive primary healthcare, mental health support, social services in combination with health promotion programs and activities. We also work in close partnership with other community-based health and social services.

The mission of the Centre is to provide primary healthcare and health promotion programs and services to the Black Community across the GTA. As we are located in the geographical catchment area of Malvern we also serve all the residents of the neighborhood.

TDSB Newcomer Services

Our sites provide FREE settlement services for newcomer adults, youth, seniors and persons with disabilities. Services include extensive and valuable information, referrals, group workshops and one-on-one assistance on various settlement needs.

We can assist with: citizenship classes, housing, language, integrating into the educational system, career information, job search help (resume writing and interview skills preparation), mentorship, information on legal aids, social services, finance & budgeting, landlords & tenants’ rights, workers’ rights, skills upgrading workshops and translation and interpretation.
